What this application does
Because the application uses OpenAI services, some information may be processed outside the European Economic Area.
Where this occurs, processing is carried out under the safeguards implemented by OpenAI and other service providers in accordance with applicable data protection law.
What information we process
Švietimo duomenys helps people explore official Lithuanian education data using natural language.
Instead of searching through multiple databases, users can simply ask questions in ChatGPT and receive answers based on publicly available education statistics.
The application itself does not create official data.
It retrieves publicly available datasets, interprets your question and presents the relevant information in a more accessible way.
How we use your information
When you use the application, we process only the information needed to answer your question and operate the service.
This may include:
the question you submit;
technical information required to deliver the response;
limited operational logs needed to keep the service secure and reliable.
The application does not require you to create a Švietimas #1 account.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.
Please avoid including personal or confidential information in your prompts.
OpenAI and AI-generated responses
We use information only to:
understand your question;
retrieve relevant education data;
generate a response;
maintain the reliability and security of the application;
improve the quality of the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your questions for advertising.
Our MCP server
Švietimo duomenys operates through ChatGPT.
When you submit a question:
your question is processed by OpenAI's language models;
the application retrieves relevant education data through our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server;
ChatGPT generates a response using that information.
Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's own Privacy Policy and Terms.
Public education data
Our MCP server provides structured access to official Lithuanian education datasets.
Its purpose is to retrieve relevant public information—not to build user profiles.
The application is designed to minimise the processing of personal information.
Where technical logs are necessary for security, diagnostics or service reliability, they are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary.
Security
The information presented by the application comes from publicly available datasets published by official Lithuanian institutions.
These datasets may include information about:
schools;
students;
teachers;
examinations;
education financing;
education system indicators;
other public education statistics.
Whenever possible, the original source of the information is referenced.
Švietimas #1 aggregates and presents these datasets but is not the original publisher of the underlying data.
International processing
Protecting information is important to us.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
Like any internet-based service, no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Švietimo duomenys is intended for general use and is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the application, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Children's privacy
If the GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:
request access to your personal data;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion where applicable;
object to certain processing activities;
request restriction of processing;
lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
